5 January 2016

If you’re considering nominating a colleague for elevation to the grade of IEEE Fellow, now’s the time to do so. The nomination deadline is 1 March.

The Fellow program was established more than 50 years ago to honor IEEE members’ extraordinary record of accomplishment which has contributed greatly to the advancement of engineering, science, and technology.

Today there are roughly 7,000 IEEE Fellows worldwide among the more than 426,000 IEEE members. If you know someone whose work has been outstanding and who is an IEEE senior member or life senior member with five years or more in any grade of IEEE membership, you may nominate him or her in one of four categories: application engineer/practitioner, educator, research engineer/scientist, or technical leader.

Visit the Fellow website to learn more about the program and the online application process.

IEEE membership offers a wide range of benefits and opportunities for those who share a common interest in technology. If you are not already a member, consider joining IEEE and becoming part of a worldwide network of more than 400,000 students and professionals.
