Don’t Miss Out on Benefits: Renew Your Membership Automatically

The option prevents your subscriptions, insurance coverage, and e-mail alias from being dropped

13 July 2015

If you haven’t done so already, signing up for automatic renewal of your IEEE membership is a convenient way to ensure your access to products, services, and member benefits never expires. More than 59,000 members have already signed up in the two years since the option became available. And you can still do so for the 2016 membership year.

By signing up, benefits such as IEEE Spectrum and The Institute, any subscription to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, access to your e-mail alias, life insurance coverage, and other member services won’t be interrupted. Your society memberships will also renew automatically.

To enroll in the program, visit the Payment Options section of My Account. Once signed in, click on Edit in the Automatic Renewal Preference section. Once you’ve signed up, a confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address you’ve provided. Your primary credit card on file with IEEE will be charged in October.

Students, graduate students, life members, and others participating in discounted memberships based on special circumstances such as low income, unemployment, and disability are, however, not eligible for automatic renewal.

If you already have signed up, your membership will automatically renew the second full week in October.

For more information, visit the IEEE Support Center.

IEEE membership offers a wide range of benefits and opportunities for those who share a common interest in technology. If you are not already a member, consider joining IEEE and becoming part of a worldwide network of more than 400,000 students and professionals.
