Nominations for IEEE Fellows Go All Electronic

Change becomes effective with the 2013 Fellow Class

6 May 2011

A change to how IEEE Fellow nomination forms are submitted will become effective with the 2013 Fellow Class. All forms, which include nominations, references, and endorsements, must be submitted electronically. Hard-copy forms no longer will be accepted.

After allowing both hard-copy and online methods for several years, the Fellow Committee and the IEEE Board of Directors recently approved the change to go completely electronic. This will save money for IEEE and will help the environment.

The nomination period for the 2013 Fellow Class is now open and ends on 1 March 2012. Nominee eligibility requirements, steps to becoming an IEEE Fellow, instructions, and more can be found on the Fellow website.

IEEE membership offers a wide range of benefits and opportunities for those who share a common interest in technology. If you are not already a member, consider joining IEEE and becoming part of a worldwide network of more than 400,000 students and professionals.
