If you are fascinated with technology and want to learn more about it in a dynamic and interactive setting, consider attending the IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges (VIC) Summit. The event, to be held on 25 May at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, precedes the IEEE Honors Ceremony, where technology pioneers will receive IEEE’s top awards.
The IEEE VIC Summit will bring together engineering innovators to discuss the future of technology—what is imminent and what is possible—as well as how some of today’s emerging technologies will affect society. Speakers will talk about challenges that must be overcome in order to develop technologies to improve quality of life.
IEEE President Karen Bartleson will kick off the event, followed by a keynote speech by Fellow James D. Plummer, former dean of Stanford’s School of Engineering. Other talks will cover developments in artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, health care devices, Internet security, and power and energy, and there will be a panel discussion on entrepreneurship. At the end of the summit, attendees will have an opportunity to network before the IEEE Honors Ceremony begins.
